Creating and managing Sites and Offers

Adding or editing a site or an offer

In the Properties tab you can add a site or an offer in a campaign and edit it.

The site or offer is the media on which your campaign will be displayed.

From the campaign administration section, select add site/offer in the campaign menu to add or edit a site/offer. Weborama Campaign Manager displays list of sites/offers associated to the Ad Network, but you can create others.

  • Select a site or an offer:

Enter the first letters of the name of the site or offer you wish to add and select it in the list. The Ad Network managing the site or offer appears in parenthesis in the list.

If the site or the offer is not in the list, you can create it by clicking create a new site/offer at the bottom of the list.

  • Contact E-mails: Enter the email addresses of Ad Network trafficking contacts to whom you will need to send the serving/tracking tags to be implemented on the site/offer.

(Generic email addresses may be suggested by Weborama Campaign Manager but you can delete them and enter others).

  • Default URL (optional)

The grey Use campaign URL entry indicates that the creative inherits the valid default URL from the site/offer level. When you place your cursor in the field, the complete URL is displayed in black.  You can edit it to define a specific URL for the insertion. The new URL will then  be permanently displayed in the field in black.

Note:

A Warning icon is displayed if your click-through url is invalid, but it will not prevent you from submitting the form.

  • The tracking times link opens a new window to adjust your conversion tracking time settings for the site/offer within this campaign.
  • Comments (optional)

When saved, the site/offer is automatically inserted as an item line in the campaign tree structure.

Creating a new site or offer in the accont

From the site/offer selection menu you can add a new site or a new offer to the list.

If the site or offer you want to add to a campaign is not in the list, you can create it by clicking “create a new site/offer” at the bottom of the list (from the site/offer or insertions property tabs)

In this window you will be able to add a new site/offer to your Weborama Campaign Manager account.

The site/offer created is associated to an Ad Network. If the Ad Network does not exist, it can also be created by entering a name in the Ad Nework field and clicking create a new Ad Network at the bottom of the list.

To create a site/offer you must fill in the form that appears on the page and enter:

  • A Name
  • A Country
  • An Ad Network

Optional parameters such as the Ad Server, the Burst Path, the Burst Type and the Z-Index to adapt the display code to site requirements and manage rich media formats.

–  Name and ID fields are used to associate external references (name or ID) to the site/offer. You can find these references in the Reporting tab and API exports.

Click Save & Close to save the site/offer you created. It will now appear in the list of sites/offers available for the account.

Editing tracking times for a site or an offer

The Properties tab in the site/offer section allows you to define tracking times for a specific campaign site/offer.

The tracking time is the maximum number of days during which conversions made by a visitor may be attributed to past actions. This time span may differ depending on the actions.

This tab allows you to set tracking times for a site or offer that are different than those defined for the campaign.  Tracking times set on a site/offer level take precedence over those defined for the campaign.

In the campaign properties, you can open an attribution window allowing you to edit tracking times for various actions:

 Post-click

 Post-event

Post-view (only available if the module is enabled in the campaign properties)

 Post-impression

Default post-click and post-event tracking times are set to 30 days. Post-view and post-impression tracking times are set to 15 days. You can change the tracking times to fit your needs, however they must not exceed 90 days.

Once you’ve completed all fields, save to return to the site/offers properties form.

Configuring 3rd Party Tags accross all campaigns insertions for a site or an offer

The 3rd Party Tags tab in the Site/Offers section configures 3rd party tags for all insertions within a site or offer.

This tab provides a summary view of all 3rd Party Tags (external tags) that apply to all insertions of the same site or offer and allows you to configure them. These tags will be enclosed into Weborama Campaign Manager display tags to be triggered when an impression is displayed or a user clicks on a creative across all insertions of the campaign.

If there are 3rd party tags  that are configured on a campaign level and that apply to all insertions of the campaign, they are listed first. These cannot be modified or deleted from this tab, but only from the campaign level 3rd party tag tab. To do so, fill out the appropriate form.

The the following area lists the 3rd party tags set to all insertions of the site or offer selected and allows you to edit or add the following settings:

  • Label: Enter a name that clearly defines the tag to be triggered
  • Type: Set the type of code:

– “Pixel for impressions”: An image code triggered on impression.

–  “Pixel for clicks”: An image code triggered on click.

–  “Additional script for impression”: Javascript code triggered on impression.

  • URL: Copy the uURL of the tag to be triggered into this field (provided by the 3rd party).

Click “+” to add and configure another 3rd party tag.

Click Play/Pause to enable or disable the tag triggering. When you add a new tag, the default setting is “play”.

Click remove to delete the tag.

Note :

Additional macros can be inserted to the 3rd party tags allowing the 3rd party to retrieve information concerning the ad impression. Refer to the list of additional macros for more information.

Sending Ad serving/ Tracking Tags for a site or an offer to the Ad Network

Use the campaign “Send Tags” tab to send the ad serving or tracking tags associated to a site or an offer to an Ad Network’s trafficking contacts.

The Send Tags tab gives you access to different ad serving and tracking tags available for a site/offer and send them directly by email to the Ad Network’s trafficking contact that manages the site/offer.

  • Contact E-mails:

Enter the e-mail addresses of the people you wish to send the e-mail to. By default the contacts previously entered when adding the site/offer are entered, however you can delete or edit them.

  • Message:

You can add recipients and attachments.  You can also select the default text language and change it.

Click the paper clip icon to add attachments.

Click access to the tags page to view the tag codes.

Emails will be sent directly to all contacts when you click Send or Send & close.

Duplicating, deleting or stopping all insertions of a site or an offer

The site/offer drop-down menu allows you to delete, duplicate, and mark the site offer as ended.

  • Select Duplicate to duplicate the insertions within a site/offer. You can choose whether or not to include the creatives assigned to the insertions.

Choose in which site/offer and in which campaign you wish to duplicate the insertions.  Check the Include assigned creatives option to duplicate the creatives as well.

An identical duplicate of all insertions will be made (including their settings). You can choose to edit or delete specific settings later.

  • Select Delete to delete a site/offer within a campaign. This option is only available if the site/offer is void of statistics for the campaign.
  • Select Mark as ended to end delivery for all insertions within the campaign site/offers.

In this case the creatives will no longer be delivered. If delivery is not stopped on the ad network side, a white pixel will be delivered. The insertions within the site/offer will no longer gather clicks or impressions but may continue to count conversions during the tracking times you set. All insertions within the site/offers will be set to “Ended” and marked with a red dot.
